Review & ethics

Review and Academic Ethics

  • All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review and are evaluated on originality, quality, and contribution.

  • Submitted work must be original and unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

  • The submitting author is responsible for confirming that all co-authors have approved the submission.

  • All submissions are screened with Crossref Similarity Check (iThenticate). Plagiarism results in immediate rejection without review.

  • Research involving human participants should confirm appropriate ethical approval and informed consent. Where participants are in vulnerable situations — including refugees, asylum seekers, and undocumented migrants — authors must take particular care to protect identity, location, and legal safety, and case material must be thoroughly anonymised.

  • Presentation type (oral, poster, virtual) is submitted as a preference. The Scientific Committee decides the final presentation type.

Copyright

Copyright and Publication Agreement

Authors keep full copyright of their work. Accepted abstracts and papers are published open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0): they can be freely read, shared, and reused with attribution to the authors. Authors grant the conference a licence to publish the work and to be identified as its original publisher.

This is one combined copyright and publication agreement. Accepting it is a mandatory checkbox on the submission form, and the full text opens in a new tab from there.
