Presentation Modes: Choose How You Share Your Research
MMI 2027 accepts oral, poster, and virtual presentations. All three go through the same double-blind review by the Scientific Committee, and all three carry the same publication opportunities — an abstract in the Abstract Book with an ISBN, and the option of a full paper in the Proceedings.
Formats
The three modes
Live (in-person) presentations
Engage directly with your audience in the conference venue — delivering your session face-to-face, enjoying immediate interaction, body language, and dynamic Q&A. Ideal for building strong connections, receiving real-time feedback, and making a memorable impact in the room.
In person
Poster presentations
Showcase your work on a visual display while mingling with attendees during designated sessions. Poster formats encourage one-on-one conversations and are perfect for informal sharing, receiving focused questions, and highlighting research visuals or complex data in an accessible way.
In person
Virtual presentations
Present your research online, live from anywhere in the world, with full Q&A participation. Virtual presentations offer the flexibility of contributing globally without travel, while still engaging directly with the session.
Live online
Poster dimensions, oral slot length, and the virtual technical requirements are set out in full on the Author Guidelines.
Choosing a format
Why your presentation mode matters
- Flexibility and accessibility — choose the option that fits your schedule, travel possibilities, and your preferred style of interaction.
- Engagement and reach — live formats encourage dynamic exchange; virtual options open your work to global audiences.
- Networking opportunities — in-person sessions offer deeper networking; virtual modes let you connect online and follow up through digital platforms.
- Inclusivity — multiple formats accommodate researchers from diverse backgrounds, time zones, and capabilities.
