Call for Papers & Abstracts — International Conference on Migration, Mobility, and Integration 2027
The International Conference on Migration, Mobility, and Integration (MMI) invites researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and doctoral candidates to submit abstracts for presentation in Copenhagen, 28–30 May 2027.
This call for papers in migration and integration is open to theoretical, empirical, methodological, and practice-based work. If you have a study, a comparative or policy analysis, a legal argument, an ethnography, a programme evaluation, or a systematic review on how people move, settle, and belong, it belongs here.
What we are looking for. Original work that has not been published elsewhere and is not under review at another venue. We are equally interested in findings that complicate prevailing narratives — from any direction. Migration research is too often read for the conclusion it supports; MMI reads it for the quality of the evidence. Policy and practice-based submissions are welcome on the same terms as research.
What submission involves. Send a 200–250 word abstract with 3–5 keywords through the online submission form. No fee is charged to submit. Your abstract is reviewed double-blind by the Scientific Committee and you receive a decision by email within 7–14 business days.
What acceptance gives you. A presentation slot in your chosen format, publication of your abstract in the Conference Abstract Book with an ISBN, and the option — never the obligation — to submit a full paper afterwards for the Conference Proceedings (ISSN, DOI, Google Scholar).
Submissions are welcome from every region — countries of origin, transit, and destination alike. Interdisciplinary and comparative perspectives are strongly encouraged.

What follows
After Acceptance
Your abstract is published in the Conference Abstract Book (ISBN) once you register. After the conference you may — optionally — submit a full paper for the Conference Proceedings (ISSN, Crossref DOI, Google Scholar). Selected full papers may be considered for publication opportunities in Scopus-indexed journals; final acceptance depends on paper quality and the decision of journal editors.
Choosing not to submit a full paper does not affect your abstract’s publication in any way.
