Publication at MMI 2027
MMI offers several publication routes, each with its own conditions, and you choose how far you go: abstract only, full paper in the Proceedings, or consideration for a journal.
Where your work goes
Three Levels of Publication
Level 1
Conference Abstract Book (ISBN)
Every accepted and registered abstract is published in the Conference Abstract Book, assigned an ISBN, and made available on the day of the event.
Some participants prefer to publish only their abstract here and reserve the full paper for a journal elsewhere. That is entirely acceptable — you are under no obligation to publish your full text with us, and choosing not to has no effect on your abstract’s inclusion or your presentation.
Level 2
Conference Proceedings (ISSN, DOI, Google Scholar)
Full papers submitted after the conference undergo double-blind peer review before publication in the Conference Proceedings.
The Proceedings carry an ISSN
Each paper is assigned a DOI via Crossref
Papers are indexed in Google Scholar
Formal citable identifiers, permanent international accessibility, and a discoverable record other researchers can cite.
The full paper must follow the Author Guidelines, be original and unpublished, and pass double-blind review.
Level 3
Journal Publication Opportunities
Participants whose accepted and registered abstracts appear in the Conference Abstract Book may have the opportunity to submit their full papers for consideration by partner journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ and other recognised academic databases.
Where such opportunities are available, details are shared with eligible registered participants after the conference.
Journals apply their own review and may request revisions. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts to meet a journal’s requirements before a final decision is made.
Publication is subject to each journal’s scope, peer-review process, editorial standards and acceptance decision. Journal editors make all final decisions independently of the conference.
Process
Peer Review and Editorial Process
- 01Full paper submitted after the conference, following the Author Guidelines
- 02Similarity screening with Crossref Similarity Check (iThenticate)
- 03Double-blind review by at least two reviewers
- 04Decision: accept, revise, or decline — communicated by email
- 05Revision round if required
- 06Copy-editing, DOI registration, and publication in the Proceedings
Ethics
Publication Ethics and Plagiarism
MMI enforces a strict anti-plagiarism policy. All manuscripts are checked using Crossref Similarity Check (iThenticate) before evaluation by the Scientific Committee. Submissions identified as plagiarised are declined without review. Only original work is considered for presentation and publication.
Authors retain the rights to their own work and grant MMI permission to publish the accepted abstract and, where applicable, the full paper in conference outputs.
Indexing
Indexing and Visibility
Each paper published in the proceedings is registered with Crossref and receives its own DOI, so it can be cited and found through a permanent link. The proceedings are indexed in Google Scholar, and applications may be made to further services such as the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Inclusion in any index or service is decided by that service and is not guaranteed.
Timing
Publication Timeline
Abstract Book
Prepared after registration closes; distributed to registered participants around the conference dates
Proceedings
Published after full-paper review is complete; authors are informed by email
Journal opportunities
Eligible authors informed after the conference; timing set by each journal
Existing authors upload a later full paper using the update link in their original confirmation email, or follow the instructions in Help & Support.
Publish
Publish your research with us.
From abstract to DOI
Every accepted abstract appears in the Abstract Book with an ISBN. Full papers submitted after the conference are peer reviewed for the Proceedings, with an ISSN, a Crossref DOI, and Google Scholar indexing.
